Taras Bulba - For centuries, various peoples have fought for hegemony over Ukraine. In the 16th century, it was the Turks and the Poles who fought for control of the region. Ultimately, it was the latter who won thanks to the help of Taras Bulba's Cossacks. The leader of the Poles invites his allies to toast the victory, but his gestures are scorned by Taras Bulba, a man who loves freedom and is incapable of submitting to anyone.
